And finally....our final project! All edited and ready to view. This wouldn't be possible without my two partners Lucie Pottecher and Guste Janusauskaite. The project has been an incredible journey with lots of hard work put in by all of us.

Now, all that’s lest is to edit to perfection, which is all being done by the amazing Lucie Pottecher. Part of editing is coming up with music to play during the opening credits, which we are all apart of. After much searching, we founf the perfect sound to go with the opening, the only problem is at the end of the song, the music gets weird and we don’t like it. So Lucie decided to loop the beginning of it so it sounds smooth and we like the music throughout.

Also, attached below are the original and edited storyboards of our two-minute opening. I wanted to post these to show the evolution in our story, just on filming day!

Update: last night Lucie and I finished shooting for our video. There was only one shot we couldn’t take at the set of the train tracks. The shot we could not take at the set was the flashback; a shot where the main protagonist, Jonny, engages in a flashback from the night before. This flashback reveals that Jonny was abducted, and the pieces start coming together to reveal how he got to the place he currently is.

Location and lighting were a big factor in how we wanted the shot to come out. The shot is a point of view shot from Jonny when he is getting shoved into a car trunk. We wanted the person shoving him in the trunk to be in full shadow, no facial features shown. We also wanted the background to be a sunset, which played out perfectly with what we waned with the shadow. The sunset created the perfect shadow we wanted. It took Lucie and I almost an hour to perfect that shot. We hope it turns out great on screen!

So here are some photos from the other day when we finally got to shoot the two-minute film opening! It was so much fun for everyone. Lucie, Guste and I all have much more appreciation for what goes into making a production and we are so proud of what we have created.

Yesterday, Lucie, Guste and I, as well as our friend Diego (who plays a character in our story) went to shoot the two-minute film opening. Shooting was a process to say the least. We needed to reshoot a lot of the shots to make sure they were perfect. Overall, we are happy with the way things turned out at the end of the day, and we had a lot of fun doing it.

Now, over the next few days Lucie is going to edit to make our story come together perfectly. We are all excited to see the way our production comes out. Also, I will be posting pictures and/or videos from our day of shooting soon!

Location is a big part of our two-minute film opening. Originally, we wanted to have the main protagonist wake up on a roof of a building, but after some thought, we realized that it would not be the best option for that is a difficult location to find.

After the roof idea was shot down, we had the idea of having the character wake up in a beaten down, old building. Guste knew of a place in a city about an hour away from here, Wynwood. Just like the first idea, this idea was shot down due to difficult location. Wynwood is a long drive and if we had to reshoot anything, it would be a process to go back there.

After much searching and a little bit of luck, we found the perfect location. Lucie’s dad works in a warehouse about 20 minutes away from where we live, and he said behind the warehouse, there are train tracks that are never used anymore. We thought the train tracks would be a perfect location to shoot our film opening because it would give the sense of isolation that we wanted, yet also being close to home. So this is the location we decided to use.
